We all have goals. And I don’t mean football goals. A goal is something you are trying to do or achieve. Even our parents have goals. Maybe their goal is to get a new job or a promotion or to get us into the best schools, but they probably have more than one goal.
We should have goals too. Goals help us to do the things that we might not normally think we could do.
SO how do you set a goal?
First of all, decide what you want to achieve. For example, Joke wants to learn to ride a bike.
Then decide what your deadline is – Joke wants to learn to ride a bike by her birthday in March.
After you’ve decided when, you need to think of how you are going to achieve your goal – Joke’s older brother Akin is going to teach her how to ride her bike, once a week.
Now you have a well-planned goal. Planning like this makes it possible to do it. If you want to learn to ride a bike but you don’t do anything about it. It’s not a goal, it’s just a dream.
