How to Write a Story
Many of you love to read stories, but have you tried writing one?
All stories have a beginning, a middle and an end. And if you have decided on what your story is going to be about, then it’s not very difficult to write it.
In The Day The Tortoise Broke His Shell, I learn that the birds are going to heaven to eat a wonderful feast, and I decide I want to go with them – that’s the beginning.
I convince the birds that they need me to guide them to heaven but when we get there, I trick them – that’s the middle.
In the end, I have to deal with the consequences of my actions.
Whatever story you are thinking about, it has to have a beginning, middle and end. Think of the stories you have read and try to figure out why you liked the story, and then try to write your own. It doesn’t have to be very long. Flash fiction stories are only a page!
