How to make Puff Puff

Hiya my chefs and cheflettes, it is Yanribo and I am here again to teach you how to make puff puff.

Don’t be mistaken, I can only teach those wise kids who want to learn. DO you know how many of them are begging me in Olowo village to teach them?

Ehen, let us begin –

How to make Puff Puff

  • 1 ½ cup of lukewarm water

  • 2 teaspoons of yeast

  • 3 tablespoons of sugar

  • 2 cups of white flour

  • A pinch of salt

  • Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Mix water and sugar in a large bowl

  1. Sprinkle yeast over the water and leave for 5 minutes to soften. Mix in yeast, and leave another 10 minutes until it begins to get foamy.

  1. Stir salt and flour into yeast mixture. Beat well to make a smooth batter

  1. Cover with a towel and leave to rise for at least two hours. You can leave it longer if you wish.

  1. When you are ready to fry, heat your oil in a deep frying pan until it is hot hot hot.

  1. Beat down the batter to remove air bubbles. Take a small amount of batter, about the size of a gold ball, in your fingers.

  1. Hold your hand over the oil and carefully, carefully, without touching the oil, carefully push the batter off your hand and into the pan with your thumb. It should form a round ball in the oil and rise to the top.

  1. Fry the puff puff for about 3 minutes, turning until they are brown.

  1. Then remove from the pot and drain on paper towels.
