Borrowing and Debt
We all know what borrowing is. You have borrowed your sibling’s clothes, your friend’s book and so on.
Borrowing is easy and convenient but a lot of you do not like to return what you have borrowed. When you don’t return the item you have borrowed, the person who you borrowed from won’t be very happy with you.
It is the same thing when you borrow money. When you are in debt, it means you owe money to someone and that person expects you to return the money. If you want to buy something and you cannot afford it, ask yourself these questions before you decide to borrow:
- Do I really need this?
- Can I get it at a cheaper amount?
- How long will it take me to pay the money back.
It is better to wait and save up the money for what you want to buy, than to owe money and be in debt. But if you have to borrow, remember to pay back on time. Don’t wait for the person to ask you for the money. You wouldn’t like to chase someone for your jeans or books or money, so don’t wait to be chased!
